If you are travelling to a foreign country and wish to make inquiries as to whether or not your require any travel vaccinations, you will need to make inquiries at least six weeks prior to you commencing your travel.  Accordingly, either call into the surgery and complete a Travel Health Questionnaire (or print the form off via the link below and hand it in at the Practice);  the Practice Nurse will then consider the information you have supplied the Practice with, will advise which (if any) travel vaccinations are required and Practice Reception staff will arrange mutually convenient appointment for you to have the vaccinations completed.  If you require a course of vaccinations, you may be required to attend surgery on more than one occasion.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

Periodically, the Practice experiences National/Manufacturing supply problems with regards travel vaccinations;  although we will do our utmost to obtain travel vaccines, the Practice cannot be held responsible for such supply shortage problems.

Please note, too, some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription - such as certain types of Malaria treatment - and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.  Additionally, the Practice is not a Registered Yellow Fever Centre and, therefore, cannot complete such vaccination but can advise you where to get this completed - again, there will be a charge incurred for this type of vaccination and you should discuss such with the Yellow Fever Centre you choose to attend.
